The main problem began with the cancellation of her connecting flight between Fogo Island and Praia, scheduled for yesterday. With boat tickets between the islands sold out, Carla now has no alternatives to get to the capital, where she was supposed to catch a flight to Boston, in the United States, to resume her professional activities.

“I am extremely upset and frustrated,” Carla said. “I missed my connection yesterday and now I don’t know when I will be able to board a flight to the United States. I am worried about the impact this will have on my work.”

Carla's situation is made worse by the uncertainty regarding the availability of new tickets and the impact that her delay may have on her professional commitments. The difficulty in finding an immediate solution for her return has caused her great stress, in addition to a deep disappointment with the experience she has had.
